Wednesday Wonderings - stuff that's on my mind and making me go hmm...

Jenny Louise Marie Hello friends.  I don’t mind sharing that even though it’s Wednesday it feels like it should be Friday.  I guess at this time of year, with summer just a breath away, we all have been worn a little thin.  The days seem very long. But enough about me.  How are you?  I hope you’re enjoying life this week.  As usual, I have a few things on my mind that I am wondering about.  Truth be told, I wrote them down an a post it so I wouldn’t forget…AND…I lost the post it.   So, let’s see where this post goes this week.Read More →

ins and outs of self tanner

Jenny Louise Marie Hello friends.  The temps are rising and the clothes are shrinking.  It’s time to show a little more skin.  However, if you’re a fair-skinned, Irish girl like me, then a tan is simply not going to be happening for you.  Believe me, I have tried to tan every year and mostly all I get is a sunburn. Now that I am getting older, I also need to be careful about additional sun damage.  Therefore, I cannot even attempt to get a tan by spending hours out baking in the sun.  That’s where self-tanner comes in.  Hallelujah for self tanner!  However, they canRead More →

Jenny Louise Marie Friends, I love a good DIY.  I really love to make my home look beautiful, add character,  AND save money by doing it myself.  Therefore, I am ALWAYS keeping an eye out for a good DIY to do in my home.  So, today I am sharing a few of my favorite DIYs that I have found.  Maybe these will inspire you to tackle one or two. First up, I saw this little project in Round Top.  I’m not sure if I really want to tackle this one, but I do think it’s super cute.  I also think you could recreate this forRead More →

Jenny Louise Marie Hello there friends!  I’m so glad you’re here.  It’s been a busy week around here.  I am happy to be just one more day away from the weekend.  Do you have plans?  My youngest is celebrating a birthday on Saturday and we’ll be visiting Mr. LouiseMarie’s mom to celebrate Mothers Day with her.  Youngest son has requested that we go out to dinner for a “nice” dinner.  When we asked him where he might like to go he said, just not fast food.  Some place where you sit down and they wait on you.  Clearly he has not set the bar high.Read More →

Jenny Louise Marie Well hello there!  I’m so glad you’re visiting today.  Today is the day I am going to show you how easy it is to make a wreath.  In this case, I’m making a spring wreath, but what I’m about to explain will work for any type of wreath.  it’s so much easier than you might think and much cheaper than buying one.  And, the great thing about making your own is that you totally customize the look you’re going for.  Ready?  Let’s get to it! For this project, I picked up a simple grapevine wreath for about $5 at my local craftRead More →

Jenny Louise Marie The season of graduations is upon us.  Maybe you find yourself in the same place as me and have a senior graduating from high school this year.  As a matter of fact, two short years ago, my oldest was graduating, and I wanted to do something for him.  Something that was truly memorable.  I wanted to give him a gift that was meaningful; something he could cherish forever.  Ultimately, I think I hit on a great idea and today I’m sharing it with you. What I did was create a hardcover photo book using an online photo album service like Shutterfly orRead More →
