So, it’s no secret that I love to collect new clothes. I have a love affair with shoes. And, I adore new handbags. I feel the need to update and add a few new things whenever the seasons change. Do you ever feel like that? No male in my house understands this. Anyway, I’ve been keeping my eye on some of the fall and winter trends and have come up with my fall wish list. I am sharing my fall shopping list with you today. And, since I want to make your life a little easier, I am including links to some of my favorites. See how I look out for you?
Velvet is definitely having a moment this season. You will see it everywhere. I have no desire to dress in velvet; however, I do think adding a fun pair of velvet shoes or a velvet handbag would be great
This fun velvet clutch by Rebecca Minkoff is perfect. I love this wine color, but it does come in several options.
Or maybe you’d prefer your velvet on your feet? How about some comfy platform sneaks? These Kenneth Cole’s are adorable and come in several colors as well.
These shoes are everywhere, in every heel height, open toed, close toed. You name it. These are on all the “It” lists. I say bonus points if you find a pair that are velvet or have embroidery (two big trends right now). I love these in rose gold.
Another fun trend is embroidery. I am seeing it on everything ~ handbags, shoes, jeans, tops, dresses. Again, I think this is a really fun trend; however, I don’t really want to invest a lot in a trend that may or may not stick around. I also prefer this trend in small doses. So, the shoes above are a perfect way for me to try it out. These two sweaters are also on my list because they have the embroidery and bonus…they also have statement sleeves. 🙂
Fall florals are another trend. I’m not a flowery kind of girl, but I think this dress might be a way to stick my toe in the florals water. I love this look with the tall boots too. However, I’m going to wait for a fabulous Loft sale before I jump on it.
Statement sleeves continue to be big. You can choose cold shoulder, off the shoulder, puffy sleeves, bell sleeves, or one-shoulder styles. I have mixed feelings on the cold shoulder styles. I’ve tried them, but always feel unsure when I wear them. That’s a sign I need to move on. 🙂 I do love this top though. It’s got the statement sleeves, an adorable peplum hem, and plaid ~ which is totally fall, right? I love it.
Seriously, it is ridiculous the amount of bags I have. And, I am always purging as well. I do not NEED even one more; HOWEVER, look at this bag! It’s so great AND it’s on sale. I love the beautiful burnished suede, the tri-color studs, and the single shoulder strap. I feel like this looks trendy with a bo-ho feel, but it’s a classic hobo style which I think would stand the test of time. What do you think? It’s definitely on my wish list and I am fighting every urge not to buy it.
Well, there you have it; a few of the items on my fall wish list. Dare I say, must-have list?
