Let’s start things off with my latest favorite. Date night! No, it’s not a new concept to me. However, if you follow me, you might have read about my goal to infuse some fun and attention into my marriage. (I wrote all about it here.) You know, if you’ve been with the same person for a some time, things might start to operate on auto pilot. That’s no good. One way I am working on my goal is that I’ve planned a monthly date night. Now, I sure hope we’ll have more than that, but I have taken charge on one each month.
Our first “date” was this past weekend. We had a great time treasure hunting (antiquing) in Ft. Worth and hanging out on 7th street for margaritas and music. I am sure many of you know how refreshing it is to remember how much fun you have together. So date night is for sure a favorite. If you want some date night ideas, look here.
Next up, is this new eye shadow palette. I have loved Buxom lip gloss for a long time…the tingling, the plumping… Well, I was intrigued when I saw their eye shadows. You can buy individual colors, buy one of their palettes, or build your own palette. I first just bought one nude-ish color. Loved it . So, I picked up this palette. It’s full of great nude colors. There are matte shadows, metallic shadow, and a couple of lustre shadows. A little of this…a little of that. I like that they are not all glittery or shimmery.
Speaking of makeup….have you tried this CC cream? It’s fantastic. Dare I say life changing? I think of it as makeup that’s good for your skin. Seriously. It’s one of my favorites.
I am a firm believe in taking good care of your skin. My skin also tends to be high maintenance ~ so I’ve always had to work at it. These days I am also wanting to do whatever I can to fight off the signs of aging. Do you have any good tips to share with me on that topic?
SO, I recently ordered this. I am super excited about it too. #magic Okay, so I’m not saying it’s the same as going to the dermatologist and getting the real deal. However, this little gadget can do some serious exfoliation. Each time I’ve used it I’ve been kind of grossed out when I see all the dead skin it takes off. That’s a win. Anyway, it’s convenient since you can do it on your own time and it’s WAY more affordable than regular micro derms.
Okay, for my last favorite, I am needing some opinions. I recently came across these boots. I am smitten. They are edgy ~ and somewhat out of character for me. Still, I am smitten. I can see them with leggings or skinny jeans. However, I wonder if they have too young of a vibe for me to really pull off. What do you think? Do I add it to my bag or let them go?
Since, I am new linking up for Friday favorites, you might be new around here. So, welcome! I’m glad you’ve stopped by today. I hope you’ll come back and visit often. If you’d like to join my email list and be notified of new posts, you can do that here.
Alright friends, that is it for this week’s favorites. Have you found any new favorites that you’re loving lately? If so, I’d love to hear about it in the comments below.
