Hodgepodge All About Me

Hodgepodge All About Me

Hey!  How’s your week so far?  Right now I’m feeling pretty good.  My to-do list feels manageable and I’m not stressed out.  Did you grab any good deals on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?  I did.  Are any of you able to really just think of gift giving or do you mainly shop for yourself?  I lean more to the grabbing a good deal for myself category; however, I did snag some gifts.  So, today is Wednesday and that means it’s time to link up with From This Side of the Pond for this week’s Hodgepodge questions.  You know the drill.  Joyce asks the questions and we provide answers.  This week it’s all about me. 🙂  Ready?

1.  What’s something blogging has taught you about yourself?

Well, two things come to mind.  One ~ I am not an expert at anything.  Whenever I feel like I know what I’m dong, there is ALWAYS someone out there who is doing it better or  has a better idea.  The upside, of course, is that I am constantly learning and improving.

And two…that blogging is way harder than I thought and I’m not very brave.  There are some bloggers who share such personal stuff.  I admire them and appreciate their honesty and willingness to share their experiences.  It always feels good to find that you’re not the only one, right?  However, I find it very difficult to share real, meaningful, personal  (embarrassing) stuff.  It’s especially hard when people you know are reading what  you write.  Anyway, I need to work on that.

2.  Leftovers…are you in the ‘reheat and eat’ camp or the ‘put them in the fridge until they spoil and then toss them’ camp? What’s your favorite thing to have leftover? What can you not abide as a leftover?

Depends on the leftover…I don’t like leftover, reheated vegetables.  On the other hand, leftover lasagna is delicious!  My favorite leftover is some sort of casserole.  I cannot do leftover salad.  I don’t like how it all gets limp.  I’m a texture person and that just grosses me out!

3. ‘Me time‘…your thoughts?

Yes please. 🙂  Me time to me just means that I get to do what I want to do ~ whatever makes me feels refreshed.  Now that my boys are older I can get me time pretty easily.  What I really love these days is family time.  This makes me think that you always want what you don’t have.

4. When people come to you for help, what do they usually want help with?

Some sort of crafty thing usually.  I love to do that stuff and am happy  to help people, but sometimes I feel like they give me more credit than I deserve.  They can do it just as well as I can.

5. If your childhood had a smell what would it be? Tell us why.

Vinegar… weird, right?  Here’s why.  We had a pool in my backyard growing up.  My sister and I are very fair-skinned.  For those of you who aren’t familiar that means all we do is burn.  We don’t get tan.  We burn, freckle, peel, and repeat.  In addition, did they have sunscreen when I was a kid?  If they did my parents were not familiar with it.  As a result, we were burned ALL the time.  Did you know that using a towel soaked vinegar and laid on the burn will pull the heat out?  Well, it does.  Therefore, my childhood smelled like vinegar.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

My house is all decked out for the holidays!  It’s my favorite time of the year.  I love decorating, hosting, gift buying.  I love it all!  This year I have planned a party for December 2 so that I had to have it all done by then.

Well, that does it for me today. I’m so glad you stopped by.  So, tell me…what would your childhood smell like?  I thought that was a tough question.  I’d love to hear from you below and I’d really love to have you on my email list. You can sign up here.  Have a great week friends!

Until next time~
