Hello ladies. Have you taken advantage of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? Well, I did. You might remember that I posted about my picks from the sale here. Well, as it turns out, there was WAY more included in the sale than was in the catalog. This required a little picking and choosing on my part. #youcanthaveitall #canyou? Anyway, today I am going to update you on what I did pick and what I kept.
In case you don’t know, one of the reasons I love Nordstrom is because of how easy they make it to shop. You can order online and shipping is always free. Even better, so are returns. They include a return label in every package to make returns super easy. So really, there is no risk at all in trying something. If it doesn’t work, it simply goes back in the box and sent back.
I am happy to report that the items I picked from the sale made their way onto several fashion bloggers picks lists as well. Who knew I was a fashion blogger too? So, now you can totally rely on my picks. They are good as gold. Ha ha. Really I guess that means that I’m not too far off from those who really know what they’re doing. That’s a win for me. #proudshopper
Anyway, here are a few of the items that made their way into my shopping cart. You’ll notice I ordered mostly cardigans. What can I say? I love them and Nordstrom was rocking the cardigan selection this year. Plus, they’re a versatile staple to have in your closet. Longer versions are hot right now, and I don’t have a lot of those. Plus, these days I don’t like to wear sweaters without the option to take them off
if when I get hot. #pulloversareanogo #hormonesanyone?
These split hem jeans are from Wit and Wisdom. At under $50 it’s an easy way to try the trendy split hem. After all, you know that look won’t be around forever. They didn’t have the regular length in my size so I went with a petite. They fit, but are maybe a tad too short for heels. They’re soft and stretchy and I think they’ll be fun
if when the weather cools down. I’m keeping them.
This dress made me all kinds of happy with its school uniform vibe. I generally like a shift dress and how could vertical stripes hurt? However, the fit wasn’t right for me. The flounce in the back sat in such a way as to add volume to that which does not need added volume. If you know what I mean. It’s so cute and fit TTS; however, I think the length was just off on me. If it weren’t for the flounce though…
This is the Halogen long rib knit cardigan. It’s a good basic piece, but nothing special. I might have loved it more if I got it in a color I liked better. As it is I ordered it in a beige color – which makes look rather dead. I think this is going back.
I tried all winter last year to get this sweater. It sold out right away in the sale and it was never restocked. 🙁 This year when I saw it I knew it had to come to my house. It’s Ugg’s Hayley sweater and I love the detail of the ribbing. I got it in black and it is a keeper for sure. A little pricier than I’d like, but it’s so well made and a great quality. It’s definitely a piece I will wear for years.
Last year’s version of this brand’s sweater sold out before I could get my hands on the color I really wanted. So, I quickly snatched up this version. I do like this one, but it’s really roomy so I ‘m not sure that it’s all that flattering and this girl needs all the help she can get. I sized down and I just don’t like where the pockets fall. I really do not need any added to my hip area. Besides, how many cardigans can I actually justify. I don’t love it as much as the others. It’s going back.
I could not resist this sweet little number. Seriously. Those sleeves! Plus ruching on the elbows. Definitely keeping this one. Sadly I don’t see it on the website anymore so I think it might have sold out. However, they do restock so if you like this one, keep checking.
This is another one that I can’t find online right now. I am sure it will get restocked. If you really love it, you can have mine. It’s going back. I didn’t like the feel of it. Also, I had really mixed feelings about the ties at the waist even though there’s no other buttons. I just felt ‘meh’ about this one.
I had to see what all the hype was about this brand. They have been compared to cuddly kittens as the softest, most cozy sweater in the history of ever. I think they are super pricey for a sweater; however, maybe they’re worth it. So, after trying on again and again, here’s what I can say. It’s a cute sweater and super soft. I mean really cuddly soft. However, I am still on the fence about if I’m willing to shell out the $$ for it. It’s a debate I’m having. It is TTS.
I already own some of these Zella leggings and LOVE them. Now I am adding the cropped version. These are a great quality with thick fabric that you don’t see through. They hold up well after washing and still look good all these washes later. They are a keeper for sure.
I love Kut from the Kloth jeans. I own several pairs and am now adding a bootcut pair. Honestly, as much as I love the skinny jeans, these are simply more flattering. The downside is that I have to wear some sort of heel with these. #shortgirlproblems On the upside, my legs look WAY longer. Definitely keeping these. You can dress them up, dress them down…whatever.
I wanted to love this sweater so badly. Unfortunately, I did not. I love the look of it; however, the knit made me itch, and sadly even a mock turtleneck makes me feel claustrophobic and hot. 🙁 It fit TTS but it is going back.
I also ordered these great earrings. Love them! And this bracelet is a keeper for sure. If you haven’t taken advantage of this Anniversary sale, it’s worth your time to browse through the 28 pages of women’s items. There’s also stuff for hubbys and kids. Okay, I’ll consider my work here as done. Now put your game face on and get to shopping!
Until next time ~
