Father's Day will be here before we know it.  It's time to start planning a wonderfully, unique gift for your dad or for Hubs, dad to your kids.  Now, I know that Pinterest abounds with gazillions of ideas for handmade cards and craft projects that the kids can make for dad.  Those are wonderful.  However, I also like to give a gift that is useful or something that he would really want.  In addition, most men are not super sentimental.   So, while I am sure they love the cute little hand print art, they would also love something awesome.  Lucky for you I've rounded ...

Hello friends!  It's a Monday - again.  However, it's my LAST Monday of the school year!  Summer is so close I can almost taste it. 🙂  So, how was your weekend?  I had a pretty low-key weekend.  We attended my nephew's Rite of Passage - more on that later, had dinner with good friends, and a few crafty projects.  I also spent a little time on Netflix with my youngest.  Is anyone else watching 13 Reasons? Since it's the end of the school year, and I am seriously running out of steam, the post I had planned for today isn't ready.  So, I thought I ...

So, like most women on planet Earth, I would like to age gracefully.  I would also like to look my best and make  it difficult for people to guess my age.  In short, I want to avoid the inevitable wrinkles for a s long as possible.  Unlike many  women though, I have not been able to justify the large amount of money you have to spend to achieve these results.  I have not gone down the Botox or fillers road.  If you are able to utilize those products, hooray for you.  So, what's another option for us women?  Wouldn't you like to make wrinkles a ...

ins and outs of self tanner
Hello friends.  The temps are rising and the clothes are shrinking.  It's time to show a little more skin.  However, if you're a fair-skinned, Irish girl like me, then a tan is simply not going to be happening for you.  Believe me, I have tried to tan every year and mostly all I get is a sunburn. Now that I am getting older, I also need to be careful about additional sun damage.  Therefore, I cannot even attempt to get a tan by spending hours out baking in the sun.  That's where self-tanner comes in.  Hallelujah for self tanner!  However, they can be a little ...

I am one of those girls who likes to look put together when I go out.  Make no mistake.  I said I LIKE to.  It does not always work out that way.  I am a real girl living in the real world.  I have 3 kids, a house to clean, meals to cook, and endless things on my TO DO list - just like everyone else.  Sometimes pulled together is just not going to happen.  However, I find that if I just put on a little lipstick and mascara I feel MUCH better and don't look so much like a walking corpse.  Lipstick is one ...

Hey friends!  As a new blogger, I am learning as I go.  To say there is a huge learning curve is an understatement.  It's not as easy as writing a post and sending it out into the blogosphere.  Not at least if you want to grow a real following or grow a business.  In order to achieve that you have to play the social media game too.  That alone is a full-time job.  You have to get your content out there and reach a lot of people.  And, you have to do it multiple times a day on a consistent basis. Many of you are, ...
