Super Cute DIY Projects

Super Cute DIY Projects

Friends, I love a good DIY.  I really love to make my home look beautiful, add character,  AND save money by doing it myself.  Therefore, I am ALWAYS keeping an eye out for a good DIY to do in my home.  So, today I am sharing a few of my favorite DIYs that I have found.  Maybe these will inspire you to tackle one or two.

First up, I saw this little project in Round Top.  I’m not sure if I really want to tackle this one, but I do think it’s super cute.  I also think you could recreate this for way less than the price tag on this one.  All you need is an old bike, some wood, and a way to keep it all stationary. I do think this project requires some skills like welding, so maybe this isn’t a good beginner type project.

Or, want something a little bigger?  How about this one?

Okay, so I really have all the heart eyes for this idea.  The idea of having a place for the dog to stay when I’m not home that is not a tacky, bulky crate in my dining room or kitchen is fantastic.  And, bonus…the space under the stairs is most often unused anyway.  I think that’s a win/win.  There are so many cute pics online of these type of kennels and I would love to figure out a way to tackle this.  Anyone have any tips on tackling this?

So, here’s a project that I would love for Mr. LouiseMarie to tackle.  Adding molding around doors and windows really adds such emphasis to them.  I love the character it brings.  However, it’s a BIG project to do for all of your doors and windows.

Another fun idea and cute upcycle project is this little drink station.  I’ve seen a few versions of this and can imagine how fun this would be to have for a party.  It would be easy to customize to fit your needs perfectly and to paint it in a color that works in your yard or on your patio.  What do you think?  Would you use something like this?

These planters are adorable!  I love everything about them.  These would be fantastic on my patio or on either side of my front door.  And, there’s a tutorial that will tell you exactly how to build them for your home.  Just click on the pic to link to the tutorial.

Okay, this last one is a project that I’ve actually tackled.  I love the idea of being able to repurpose a piece of furniture that you’re not using into something that you will use.  This link will take you to a tutorial of how to turn a coffee table into a tufted ottoman.

And just ’cause I like you so much,  here’s one more cute repurposing project.  I couldn’t pull this off in my neighborhood, at least in the front of my house, but I do think it’s cute.  Could you have something like this?

Well friends, those are some cute DIY projects that I found for you.  I hope one of these inspires you to try your own DIY.  What did you think of these?  Do you have a favorite?   Have you seen any really fun projects lately?  I’d love for you to share them with me.

Until next time~

Thanks Jodie! I think so too. I can never get around to doing all of them either. I may have to do those planters though.

  4. Awesome collection of DIYs. I love the molding around the doors as well, but you’re right, that’s a big project when you have many doors and windows! Yikes. But maybe one day. one room at a time. <3 Thanks for all the suggestions and linking up! <3
