Hi there!  So glad you decided to stop by.  I am happy to report that I am full on summer mode here at Casa Louise Marie.  I am all about shorts and tees.  Which brings me to today’s subject.  I was recently reading another blogger’s post which showcased the cutest tee. That means I quickly clicked over to order it.  However, I found it was sold out.  I also found a $38 price tag. Now, I am clothes girl and I was tempted to go ahead and order it.  However, since I had to wait for it anyway, I decided to try to make aRead More →

Happy Memorial Day friends!  I hope you’re enjoying the holiday today. I want to take a minute to remind everyone to thank a veteran today.  Although not all of our brave soldiers were lost in service, we owe them all a HUGE thank you for the service they provide our country.  Many men in my family have served, and I always think of them today.  My grandfather fought in World War II, my uncles have served, my brother served and spent a year in Iraq, and now my son in considering serving.  Let’s keep them all in our thoughts and prayers today. Now, back to businessRead More →

Friends, I love a good DIY.  I really love to make my home look beautiful, add character,  AND save money by doing it myself.  Therefore, I am ALWAYS keeping an eye out for a good DIY to do in my home.  So, today I am sharing a few of my favorite DIYs that I have found.  Maybe these will inspire you to tackle one or two. So, I picked up this wood – what do I call this? – trough? at Round Top this year.  I love that it looksRead More →

I have been married for quite a number of years.  In that time, I can honestly that my master bedroom has not been the haven I dreamed of.  Instead I spent my time and money decorating and improving on the areas in my home that were pubic areas.  The areas that our guests would see.  We don’t always take people into our bedroom after all.  So, my master bedroom took a backseat to all the other endless projects, children’s bedroom makeovers, and even landscaping plans.  Well, not anymore.  I decided to put other projects off a bit and instead work to make our master aRead More →

If you are planning to stencil for a wall in your home, let me share a few lessons learned.  I have tried stenciling on a small-scale and recently tried it on a whole room.  I thought this would be a piece of cake because I had stenciled another room and it was super easy.  You can read about that project here.  Well, that ended up not being entirely true.  So, dear friend, let me share a few of the lessons learned on this project. Lesson 1, think carefully about the look you’re going for in your room.  Choose a paint color carefully.  I wish that itRead More →

Hello my friends.  I am so excited to share an awesome idea with you today.  This is something I have done in my home, and I love it!  I am sure you have walls in your home in need of some artwork.  Or maybe you’d like to add a more personal touch to your home.  Something that reflects your life and loves.  Well I have THE idea for you! There is a narrow wall in my home that overlooks my family room below.  You  can see it while sitting on my couch and every time I glance up to talk to one of my boys.  I triedRead More →
