Hodgepodge for Wednesday – Volume 320

Hodgepodge for Wednesday – Volume 320

Hello friends.  How are you?  I am settling into a new year at school and feel like I have 1,832 things on my to-do list.  Between work, son #3’s football schedule, and trying to fit in time to post here, it’s go, go, go all the time!  It’s hard re-adjusting to this routine.  Still, there is something so hopeful about starting a fresh, new year.  Do you agree?  Anyway, it has been a while since I have participated in the weekly Hodgepodge from From This Side of the Pond.  I am happy to re-join in the fun.  If you’d like to check out the answers of some of the other bloggers, use the link and go check them out.   Now, without further delay, let’s get right to it.

1. When you think about your future what do you fear most? Hope for the most?

Is it weird if I say I don’t think about my future a  lot?  I feel like I am doing good to keep all the balls in the air today.  I stay pretty busy so I don’t really give it a lot of thought.  However, my biggest fear next to death by fire or drowning is something happening to one of my kids.  I guess that’s been my biggest fear since they came along.

What do I hope for the most?  Besides the obvious – all good things for my kids, I hope I am able to travel the world and  maybe live near an ocean.

2. September is National Chicken Month. How often is chicken on the menu at your house? What’s a favorite dish made with chicken? What’s something you’re a ‘chicken’ about doing or trying?

We eat a lot of chicken!  It is probably on the menu 3 times a week generally.  My favorite chicken dish (does this have to be one I make?) is chicken burrito bowls or tacos.  If Mr. LouiseMarie is cooking, chicken picata.  He is a MUCH better cook that I am.

I am chicken about trying SO many things….eating snails (no thank you), skydiving (not unless the plane is crashing), and singing karaoke.

3. What are three things you don’t own but wish you did?

A vacation house at the beach, a convertible, two-seater car, my own store…I’ve always thought I would be so good at picking cook things to sell.

4. Would you rather be a jack of all trades or a master of one? Elaborate.  If you answered one, which one?

I think I would rather be a jack of all trades.  It would be cool to know a little bit of lots of things and be able to fix most anything.  I think being a know it all, even as master of one thing, is overrated.

5. Ketchup or mustard? On what?

Ketchup, that is all.  I like it on hamburgers, french fries, hot dogs, corny dogs. Is there anything else to put it on?

6.  Insert your own random thought here.

Yes.  This is exactly how I feel most of the time.  Anyone else?
