Hello friends. I am knee-deep in projects around here. How’s your summer going? I have started a HUGE project on my patio. If you’ve been following along on Facebook, you might already have a good idea of what it is. Stay tuned, I’ll definitely be sharing details soon. Today though is Wednesday, and that means it’s time for me to share what I’ve been wondering lately. You know, those random thoughts that pop into your head and frequently, you can’t get a straight answer to them. womp womp Anyway, let’s get going.
Why is when you feel you have so much to do and so many ideas flying around in your head, that you seem to be frozen and unable to complete a stinkin’ one? That’s me anyway. For a few weeks I have known some of the projects I wanted to tackle. For some, I even had materials on hand. However, day after day would go by with no progress made on a single one. It was almost like being frozen by feeling overwhelmed. Is that totally ridiculous? I mean, I’m a girl who likes to have a project….why would I be frozen by too many? It makes no sense to me, but I am telling you the struggle is real. How about you? Does anything like that happen to you. No doubt, I will feel this again in August just about the time I start thinking of school.
Okay, here’s a mind bender….why would you print patterned paper rather than just using some cute scrapbook paper? Don’t get me wrong. I know you are able to customize it when you do it yourself, making it completely original. HOWEVER, printer ink is not cheap. It takes a lot of ink to fill a page, right? So, in the name of saving a few bucks, couldn’t you just make do with some cute patterned scrapbook paper? Honestly, I’ve seen all kinds of project where people say they have printed their patterned paper. Am I missing something here?
I just copied I project I found online and made cute little confetti firework poppers. The original project called for printing this adorable patterned paper. However, I was able to buy cute, patriotic paper for about seventy cents. Surely I couldn’t print it that cheaply.
Do you love Pinterest as much as I do? I mean I can find ANYTHING on Pinterest. It’s truly me go to source for almost every project I do. I look on there to find decorating ideas, gift ideas, and now even blogging advice. That being said, not everything on there is good information or good directions for a project. So, I am wondering, what Pinterest fails have you had? C’mon, surely you’ve got at least one. I can say that the majority of my fails have come from recipes. I am also wondering what are some of the best tips or pins you’ve found on Pinterest? There’s one I found for making a rotisserie style chicken in your crock pot. Hello…don’t want to heat up the kitchen in the summer. Here’s the link to my pin. You can find the recipe there. It was too easy for words. Honestly.
Did you know, you can follow me and all my boards so you can see all the great things I’ve been finding? Follow me here.
Well, I think that about wraps it up for this time. I will leave you though with one more thing I am currently wondering. What are the must-do, must-sees in the Seattle area? Mr. LouiseMarie and I are trying to plan a family vacay there. Apparently the boys like that better than my idea. So, anyone have any advice to share?
Until next time~
