Wednesday Wonderings

Wednesday Wonderings - stuff that's on my mind and making me go hmm...

Wednesday Wonderings

Hi there!  Today’s the day I share with you some of the things I wonder about.  These are the things that make me go “hmmm…”   If you’re a regular around here, you probably noticed that last week, I did no wondering.   That’s not because nothing crossed my mind.  Rather, it’s because Wednesday snuck up on me and I had an extraordinarily full plate. Life happens, right?  Anyway,  I do have a few things I’m currently wondering about.  I hope you’ll weigh in on my thoughts in the comments below.  I really need a remedy for allergies, the low down on deco mesh,  and I’m wondering if you zone out too.  Let’s get to it!

Lost in Thought?

So, I was driving in the car this week when all of a sudden I became aware of the absolutely awful music that was playing.  At that moment I realized I had been listening to commercials and bad music and had not even thought to just change the channel.  Duh.  I wondered why I had been listening to it rather than change it.  So, I wonder, does that ever happen to you?  Do you ever find yourself suddenly aware that you have been unaware of what was going on around you?  Why does that happen?  Are we just so deep into our own thoughts that we have no inkling of what is right in front of us?

I have been battling allergies for a couple of weeks now.  Really it’s Murphy’s Law because just prior to this allergy attack I was mentioning that I hadn’t been bothered this season.  Anyway, it now seems like I have a bi-annual “episode” that involves allergies that lead to a barky cough that lasts for weeks along with a really sore throat.  And yes, I do take allergy meds and nose spray to try to alleviate the symptoms.  No, they do not seem to work.  I know I am not alone in the seasonal onslaught; however, I wonder…. how can you live in a place for almost your entire life and suddenly suffer from the stuff in the air around you?  Has the environment changed that much over the years that we suddenly have allergens that are new?  Has my body just given up fighting back?  How can I, as a grown adult who never suffered with allergies before, have allergies now that make me feel miserable?  Weird, right?  So, I wonder if this has happened to you.  More importantly, I wonder, do you have any good suggestions for dealing with them?

Are we finally over this trend?  Are people still making wreaths with it?  I wonder, what is the draw of deco mesh?  I will grant you that it is very easy to work with and it does come in lots of colors.  However, in the end you end up with a bunch of loops of shiny plastic.  I don’t think it’s anything spectacular.  So, I wonder, what was the draw of this stuff anyway?  For truth and transparency, I will admit that I did make a wreath using it.  However, I never really liked it.  I just felt like it was the thing to do at the time.  After one go round with it, I was done though.  Maybe it’s just not for me.  What about you ~ Do you like deco mesh?  Have you found any new uses for it?  Come on, inquiring minds want to know.  Have I missed the boat on how wonderful this is?  Or is this something we can all put behind us?

Okay friends, that is it for this week.  As always, I’d love for you sign up to receive my posts delivered directly to your inbox or you can follow me on Bloglovin or other social media outlets.  Don’t forget to share your thoughts with me below.  I always love to hear from readers!

  1. I love using the deco mesh and I continue to get orders for different types of wreaths using it. If you have a good imagination there are a lot of ways to make various wreaths using the deco mesh. I have noticed that some of the craft stores don’t carry the variety they use too which is a shame sine 90% of my sales come from using deco mesh

Hi Lisa. Thanks for weighing in. Since you sell it I’m glad it’s still popular. You’re right…I haven’t seen much of it in a while in my local craft stores. Thanks so much for visiting.

I always love to hear what's on your mind. Please comment below!
