Wednesday Wonderings - stuff that's on my mind and making me go hmm...

Well hello friends!  Are you like me and counting down to summer break?  As of this posting I have 5 days left.  Goodness I hope I’ve counted that right. 🙂  It’s also half way through this week with a long weekend ahead.  Things are looking good.  Around my neck of the woods, we are just trying to make it through this year and we’re preparing for son #2’s graduation.  I seriously can’t believe it’s time for that already.  Where does the time go?  Seriously.  It’s Wednesday, and therefore, it’s time for Wednesday Wondering ~ my time to share the randomness that goes on in myRead More →

Hello friends!  It’s a Monday – again.  However, it’s my LAST Monday of the school year!  Summer is so close I can almost taste it. 🙂  So, how was your weekend?  I had a pretty low-key weekend.  We attended my nephew’s Rite of Passage – more on that later, had dinner with good friends, and a few crafty projects.  I also spent a little time on Netflix with my youngest.  Is anyone else watching 13 Reasons? Since it’s the end of the school year, and I am seriously running out of steam, the post I had planned for today isn’t ready.  So, I thought IRead More →

So, like most women on planet Earth, I would like to age gracefully.  I would also like to look my best and make  it difficult for people to guess my age.  In short, I want to avoid the inevitable wrinkles for a s long as possible.  Unlike many  women though, I have not been able to justify the large amount of money you have to spend to achieve these results.  I have not gone down the Botox or fillers road.  If you are able to utilize those products, hooray for you.  So, what’s another option for us women?  Wouldn’t you like to make wrinkles aRead More →

May 17th is National Pack Rat Day. Sidebar-should we be celebrating this? Hmmm… Are you a pack rat? Even if you’re not a full fledged pack rat, most people have one thing or another they struggle to partRead More →

Wednesday Wonderings - stuff that's on my mind and making me go hmm...

Hello friends.  I don’t mind sharing that even though it’s Wednesday it feels like it should be Friday.  I guess at this time of year, with summer just a breath away, we all have been worn a little thin.  The days seem very long. But enough about me.  How are you?  I hope you’re enjoying life this week.  As usual, I have a few things on my mind that I am wondering about.  Truth be told, I wrote them down an a post it so I wouldn’t forget…AND…I lost the post it.   So, let’s see where this post goes this week.   Is itRead More →

ins and outs of self tanner

Hello friends.  The temps are rising and the clothes are shrinking.  It’s time to show a little more skin.  However, if you’re a fair-skinned, Irish girl like me, then a tan is simply not going to be happening for you.  Believe me, I have tried to tan every year and mostly all I get is a sunburn. Now that I am getting older, I also need to be careful about additional sun damage.  Therefore, I cannot even attempt to get a tan by spending hours out baking in the sun.  That’s where self-tanner comes in.  Hallelujah for self tanner!  However, they can be a littleRead More →

Friends, I love a good DIY.  I really love to make my home look beautiful, add character,  AND save money by doing it myself.  Therefore, I am ALWAYS keeping an eye out for a good DIY to do in my home.  So, today I am sharing a few of my favorite DIYs that I have found.  Maybe these will inspire you to tackle one or two. First up, I saw this little project in Round Top.  I’m not sure if I really want to tackle this one, but I do think it’s super cute.  I also think you could recreate this for way less thanRead More →
